FAQs

Have Questions?

What's included in the SIL Documentation Package?

The SIL Documentation Package includes 25+ audit-ready policies, procedures, forms, and registers covering Supported Independent Living (SIL) under registration group 0138, aligned to the new SIL Practice Standards. You also get implementation resources (user manual, pre-filled samples, self-assessment answer templates), an audit preparation manual, folder structure template, two bonus resource packs (NDIS Information Pack and Audit Preparation Guide), and 3 months of Provider Hub access for ongoing doc updates, compliance resources, and regulatory alerts.

Supported Independent Living (SIL) is a package of home and living support for people with higher support needs. SIL applies when a participant requires support at all times of the day, or for most of the day, and needs assistance to live in their home as autonomously as possible and access the community.

SIL includes support with daily life tasks, supervision of daily life tasks, and the management and delivery of home and living supports in line with the participant’s approved package of supports.

SIL does not apply where a person only receives a few hours of support per day or week, or where the participant chooses and manages their own support workers, including directing, planning and rostering those workers.

Yes. From 1 July 2026, SIL providers must be registered if they deliver supports that meet the new definition of Supported Independent Living. The NDIS Commission will determine the applicable transition pathway based on each provider’s current registration status, services and circumstances. This may include different pathways for existing registered providers, currently unregistered providers, and new providers entering the NDIS market.

From 1 July 2026, new SIL Practice Standards will apply alongside mandatory SIL registration. The standards cover Supported Decision-Making, Safeguarding, Practice Governance, and Agreements about tenancy, housing and support arrangements. This SIL Documentation Package is built to align with the new standards and includes supporting policies, procedures, forms and implementation resources to help providers prepare for registration and audit.

Yes. SIL is a Supplementary Module, so you’ll also need Core Module documentation to complete your registration and audit requirements. If you need documents only, consider the NDIS Certification Documentation Package. If you want full support, consider the NDIS Certification Platinum Package. If you need two or more Supplementary Modules, the NDIS Mega Platinum Package is usually the most cost-effective option.

Yes. The SIL Documentation Package covers Supported Independent Living under registration group 0138, but it does not include Module 2A documentation for Implementing Behaviour Support Plans. If your SIL service will involve implementing behaviour support plans developed by a behaviour support practitioner, or using regulated restrictive practices such as environmental restrictions, chemical restraint, physical restraint, seclusion or mechanical restraint, you will also need Module 2A documentation. You have two options:

1) If you already have Core Module documentation, add the Module 2A Documentation Package alongside this SIL package.

2) If you also need Core Module documentation, choose the NDIS Mega Documentation Package or NDIS Mega Platinum Package, as these cover the Core Module and Supplementary Modules, including SIL and Module 2A.

Instantly. After completing checkout, you’ll receive a download link immediately via email and on the order confirmation page. All files are included in a single download.

All documents are in Microsoft Word (.docx) and Excel (.xlsx) format — fully editable. You can customise them with your business name, logo, and details.

Plan for 12+ hours of work on average — faster if you can dedicate focused time. The included user manual guides you step by step.

No. This is a DIY documentation package. You handle the application, auditor selection, and audit preparation yourself. We provide self-assessment answer templates to guide you, but you submit the application. If you need full support, see our Platinum Package.

Our 24-hour Missing Document Guarantee covers this. If your auditor requests a policy, procedure, form, or register within your SIL package scope that we didn’t include, we’ll provide it within 24 business hours at no extra cost. Terms and conditions apply.

Templates is a DIY documentation package — you customise the documents, submit your own application, find your own auditor, and prepare for audit yourself. Platinum is a done-for-you system that includes branded documentation in 24 hours, full application submission, full audit support, a dedicated team member, 12-month Provider Hub access, and a money-back registration guarantee. There is no standalone SIL Platinum tier — the only Platinum package covering SIL is the Mega Platinum Package, which also covers the Core Module and all other Supplementary Modules.

Yes. This package can be used to support a scope extension or variation of registration for SIL under registration group 0138. If you are already registered and want to add SIL to your registration, you can use this documentation to help prepare for the application and audit requirements.

No. Due to intellectual property protection, template purchases are final and non-refundable. Make sure you choose the right scope first. See our Terms and Conditions.
