FAQS

Frequently Asked Questions About NDIS Registration

Last updated: April 2026

How long does it take to become a registered NDIS provider?

The registration process typically takes 4–12 months from application to approval, depending on your audit type and module complexity. With Provider360, you’ll be audit-ready in as little as 14 days—we handle documentation, application submission, and audit preparation so you can move through the process faster.

You need a comprehensive set of policies, procedures, forms, and evidence documents aligned to the NDIS Practice Standards for your registration groups. The exact documents depend on whether you’re registering under the Verification or Certification pathway. Our Platinum Packages include 70–300+ documents tailored to your specific modules, delivered audit-ready within 24 hours.

Total registration costs include your documentation and support package, auditor fees, worker screening, and insurance. Provider360’s Platinum Packages start from the Verification tier and scale based on your registration modules. Visit our pricing page for transparent, upfront pricing with no hidden fees

Verification is for lower-risk NDIS services and involves a desktop audit. Certification is for higher-risk services (like SIL, behaviour support, and complex health) and requires a two-stage process including an on-site audit. Your registration pathway depends on the services you plan to deliver. Our free Roadmap tool tells you exactly which pathway applies to you. Roadmap tool

Yes. Every Platinum Package includes complete done-for-you application submission. We complete and lodge your application through the NDIS Commission portal, coordinate with auditors to get you competitive quotes, and support you through any queries or improvement items.

If you complete our process and don’t achieve registration due to this package, we refund 100% of your Platinum Package fee. Our money-back guarantee covers our services. Exclusions include third-party costs and failures due to operational issues outside our control. Full terms are available on each product page.

Yes. Our Mega Platinum Package covers the Core Module plus all five Supplementary Modules (1, 2, 2A, 3, 4, and 5) in a single package. This is the most cost-effective option if you’re delivering two or more specialised NDIS services like SIL, SDA, behaviour support, or early childhood. Mega Platinum Package

Platinum Packages are a complete done-for-you registration system: branded documentation, application submission, audit support, and a money-back guarantee. Documentation Templates are a docs-only DIY option at a lower price point—you get the documents but handle everything else yourself. See our comparison page for a full breakdown. Comparison Page

We brand and deliver your complete documentation suite within 24 business hours of receiving all required inputs (your logo, business details, etc.). This is backed by our 24-Hour Delivery Promise—if we miss it, you get 2 months of extra Provider Hub access at no charge.

It depends on the services you deliver and how your participants are funded. NDIA-managed participants can only use registered providers. Plan-managed and self-managed participants can use unregistered providers for some services. However, certain high-risk services always require registration. Our free Roadmap helps you determine whether registration is required for your specific situation. Free Roadmap

How much does it cost to become an NDIS registered provider — full 2026 breakdown

NDIS provider registration cost in 2026 depends on the pathway your services require: Verification (low-risk) or Certification (high-risk core, with or without specialised services). First-year costs sit in three categories: Approved Quality Auditor fee, insurance, and preparation (documentation plus audit-readiness services). The NDIS Commission itself charges no registration fee. With the 1 July 2026 SIL deadline tightening auditor capacity, the cost of starting later includes the cost of the queue.

Mandatory NDIS registration is expanding: Butler’s April 2026 announcement

On 22 April 2026, Minister for Health, Disability and Ageing Mark Butler announced at the National Press Club that mandatory NDIS provider registration will expand to cover personal care, daily living supports, and supports provided in closed settings. The commencement date for the expansion has not yet been announced. The existing mandatory registration for Supported Independent Living (SIL) and platform providers from 1 July 2026 is unchanged.

SIL providers must be NDIS registered from 1 July 2026 — here’s what to do now

From 1 July 2026, mandatory NDIS registration applies to all providers delivering Supported Independent Living (SIL). The rule was confirmed by the Minister for the NDIS in December 2025. Unregistered SIL providers who do not register during the transition period will not be permitted to continue delivering SIL supports — and sanctions, compliance and enforcement actions may apply. Because the registration process takes 8–12 months, the time to act is now.
